Dr. Robert Del Pero

Dr. Robert Del Pero is an ophthalmologist who founded his practice in Yuba City in 1990, bringing advanced surgical care to the community. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident, and then pursued specialized fellowships in cataract and lens implant surgery, corneal transplantation, and corneal refractive surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Del Pero has been a pioneer in refractive surgery, contributing to the development of the excimer laser and performing some of the first such procedures in the United States. His expertise includes LASIK with IntraLase/Wavefront technology, cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants, iStent implantation for glaucoma, corneal transplants, and cosmetic eyelid surgery.
