Dr. Robert Sisk

Dr. Robert A. Sisk is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, recognized by his peers as one of The Best Doctors in America. He specializes in medical and surgical vitreoretinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy and macular pucker, and sees patients at the Cincinnati Eye Institute.

Dr. Sisk is actively involved in clinical research and ophthalmic education, serving as a principal or co-investigator for numerous FDA-regulated drug trials and studies focused on genetic eye diseases. He performs advanced cell and gene therapy procedures, including the FDA-approved Luxturna® gene therapy, and holds an Associate Professor position in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, where he educates residents and fellows in vitreoretinal surgery.

In addition to serving adults and older children at CEI offices in Edgewood, Kentucky and Blue Ash, Ohio, Dr. Sisk provides care for neonates, infants, and young children at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. There, he serves as the Director of Pediatric Vitreoretinal Surgery and Director of Ophthalmic Genetics. His specialized expertise includes pediatric retinal surgery, retinal dystrophies, and retinal electrophysiology.
