About Me
Aumer Shughoury, MD, is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Cincinnati Eye Institute with a focus on ocular inflammatory disease (uveitis) and ocular immunology. He sees patients at the Blue Ash Retina Clinic and cares for conditions ranging from anterior uveitis and iritis to retinal complications associated with inflammation. An Indiana native, Dr. Shughoury completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago and earned his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he also completed ophthalmology residency. He then pursued fellowship training in uveitis at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and is completing additional fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at CEI. Patients value his clear communication and thoughtful approach to protecting sight during acute flares and long-term follow-up.
