About Me

Dr. Richard Bond is a board-certified ophthalmologist and longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, dedicated to helping patients achieve their best vision. His areas of expertise include glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, diabetic retinopathy, and external eye conditions such as corneal diseases, dry eye, tearing, redness and irritation, and eyelids and eyelashes.

Dr. Bond completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio. He then completed an internship at the Central Texas Medical Foundation Breckenridge Hospital in Austin and his residency in ophthalmology at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center. With deep roots in Texas and a commitment to the Corpus Christi community, he joined the Texas Eye Care Network to provide excellent, compassionate, and efficient eye care to South Texas. Dr. Bond is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
