About Me
Dr. Richard B. Wise is a fellowship-trained, board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist who also provides care for adult patients. He earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Toronto and completed his ophthalmology residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he served as chief resident. He then pursued a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Children's Memorial Hospital and Northwestern University in Chicago.
Dr. Wise has particular expertise in managing strabismus (eye misalignment), blocked tear ducts, and blurred vision in children. He also has a strong interest in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma and treats cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and eye traumas. He is the only pediatric ophthalmologist practicing in Atlantic County and is on staff at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He has been recognized as a Top Doc in SJ Magazine in pediatric ophthalmology.
