About Me
Dr. Richard A. Eiferman is a clinical professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at UofL Health. He specializes in LASIK eye surgery, cornea and refractive surgery, treating a wide range of conditions affecting the cornea and external eye. His clinical interests include refractive surgery and corneal diseases.
Dr. Eiferman earned his medical degree and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He then completed a fellowship in cornea and external disease at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He provides care for patients with conditions such as keratoconus, corneal infections, and pterygium, and offers advanced refractive procedures including LASIK and PRK.
