Dr. Rebecca Chait

Dr. Rebecca L. Chait is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides medical and surgical care for cataracts and common eye diseases, including diabetes-related conditions, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. She prioritizes education and shared decision-making, helping patients understand their diagnosis and options so they can move forward with confidence. Since relocating to the Coachella Valley, she has enjoyed serving patients across Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Palm Springs.

Dr. Chait graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a double major in molecular and cellular biology and piano performance. She earned her MD with honors at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed an internal medicine internship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, and finished ophthalmology residency at the Ohio State University Havener Eye Institute, where she received multiple awards for humanism in medicine. She brings a service-oriented mindset to the clinic and has participated in international medical missions caring for patients with limited access to eye care.
