Dr. Rashmi Kapur

Dr. Rashmi Kapur is a board-certified retina specialist with over a decade of experience serving patients in the Elgin region. She began her full-time practice in 2011 and has since developed a deep understanding of retinal diseases that threaten vision, including those related to aging, diabetes, and other systemic conditions.

Her areas of expertise encompass macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular disease, uveitis, and ocular oncology. Dr. Kapur prioritizes accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment planning, leveraging her fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery to address both medical and surgical retinal needs. Dr. Kapur earned her medical degree from Santosh Medical College and advanced through an ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary.
