About Me
Dr. Ralph S. Sando, Jr. is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and serves as Director of Philadelphia Ophthalmology Associates in Ardmore and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His practice focuses primarily on cataract surgery while also managing a wide range of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye syndrome.
Dr. Sando holds teaching appointments at Wills Eye Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University, and Temple University, and has contributed to the field through publications and lectures. He attended Episcopal Academy, earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University, and received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed a transitional internship at Crozer-Chester Medical Center and an ophthalmology residency at Temple University, serving as chief resident.
