About Me
Dr. Rajiv Edlagan Shah is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retinal conditions at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. He completed his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, followed by an internal medicine internship at Duke University School of Medicine and an ophthalmology residency at the University at Buffalo State University of New York School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He then pursued advanced fellowship training, including vitreoretinal surgery at Wills Eye Hospital and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, as well as uveitis and ocular immunology at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Shah's clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal diseases. He provides comprehensive retinal care, including medical and surgical management, for adult patients. As an assistant professor in the Ophthalmology department at Wake Forest Baptist Health, he is also involved in teaching and advancing the field of retinal care.
