About Me
Dr. Rachel Davis is an ophthalmologist at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, where she serves as the Geographic Medical Director and Visiting Fellowship Site Director for the Department of Ophthalmology. She specializes in glaucoma, cataract surgery, comprehensive ophthalmology, and the treatment of eye trauma.
Dr. Davis completed her residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Her dedication to medical education has been recognized with several awards, including the Murray E. McCaslin Outstanding Clinical Preceptor of the Year Award and the Residents' Award for Teaching Excellence.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Davis provides care for patients with glaucoma, cataracts, and other eye conditions. She performs cataract surgery and complex cataract surgery, and she manages eye trauma. Her expertise in glaucoma includes medical, laser, and surgical treatments.
