Dr. Rachel Davis

Sruti Akella, MD, is an oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon who treats functional and cosmetic conditions of the eyelids, orbit, and tear drainage system. She helps patients with ptosis, eyelid malpositions, tearing, thyroid eye disease, and periocular tumors, offering solutions that restore comfort, field of vision, and natural appearance. Dr. Akella completed fellowship training in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago after ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and medical school at Stony Brook. She provides advanced eyelid and orbital surgery, lacrimal procedures, trauma repair, and minimally invasive aesthetic treatments, aiming for safe, durable results that fit each person’s goals.

Dr. Rosa M. Balcells is a board-certified, fellowship-trained oculoplastic and orbital surgery specialist at Cincinnati Eye Institute. She provides both functional and cosmetic care of the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal system, with a particular interest in surgical reconstruction after trauma or tumor treatment. Her patient-centered approach emphasizes safety, natural-appearing results, and clear discussion of options, recovery, and long-term eyelid health. Originally from Santiago, Chile, Dr. Balcells completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at Universidad de Chile before a two-year fellowship in Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery at Cincinnati Eye Institute and the University of Cincinnati. She has held academic roles training residents and fellows and has led national and international oculoplastics efforts.
