Dr. Prisca Diala is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Harvard-trained medical retina specialist practicing at Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center in Annapolis, Maryland. She joined the practice in 2012 and specializes in diagnosing and treating a range of retinal disorders, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions. Dr. Diala utilizes advanced diagnostic imaging, laser therapy, and intravitreal injections to provide cutting-edge care for her patients.

Dr. Diala earned her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed her ophthalmology residency at Howard University Hospital, where she served as chief resident and received the Distinguished Excellence in Ophthalmic Knowledge award. She further honed her expertise through a medical retina fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Beetham Eye Institute/Joslin Diabetes Center. Her research has been recognized with awards such as first place at the National Medical Association’s Rabb-Venable Research Competition and a travel grant from the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology.

Committed to community service, Dr. Diala has participated in medical missions to Haiti, providing eye care to hundreds of patients.
