About Me
Dr. Phillip Gendelman is a board-certified ophthalmologist with extensive experience treating a wide range of eye conditions. He has performed thousands of surgeries, including cataract surgery, laser treatments for diabetic retinopathy and retinal tears, glaucoma procedures, and eyelid surgeries. Dr. Gendelman has been practicing since 1983 and sees patients in Burlington and Woburn.
Dr. Gendelman completed his medical education at Yale Medical School and underwent residency training at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, followed by a clinical fellowship in ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. He has served as Chief of Winchester Hospital's Department of Ophthalmology and as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the New England College of Optometry. His community service includes founding a volunteer eye service for the underserved population of St. Lucia.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gendelman has been recognized with awards such as the Governor's Citation and selection as a top ophthalmologist in Boston Magazine. He is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and the Massachusetts Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
