About Me
Dr. Philip Joseph Wilson III is a board-certified ophthalmologist with Capitol Eye Care in Central Missouri. He specializes in cataract surgery, including the use of advanced-technology intraocular lenses, and he provides medical and surgical care for glaucoma. He also offers minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) when appropriate, and he evaluates and manages conditions such as macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
Raised in Jefferson City, Dr. Wilson completed undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri and earned his medical degree at A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He trained at the University of Missouri’s Mason Eye Institute for internship and ophthalmology residency and completed a glaucoma and anterior segment surgical fellowship at the University of Missouri. He joined Capitol Eye Care in 2022 and focuses on helping patients understand their diagnosis and feel confident in their treatment plan.
