About Me
Dr. Laurence Ducker is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at UTMB Health. He specializes in cornea, cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgery, offering comprehensive eye care to patients with various vision disorders. His clinical expertise includes the management of corneal diseases, cataract extraction, glaucoma treatment, and refractive error correction using advanced surgical techniques.
He completed his medical education at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, followed by an internship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation and a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Ducker further specialized through fellowships in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery and cornea and refractive surgery at the University of Missouri Mason Eye Clinic. He is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, and Cornea Society, which reflects his commitment to staying engaged with the latest developments in ophthalmology.
