Meet Dr. Frederick Web Fraunfelder

Dr. Frederick Fraunfelder is a cornea specialist with expertise in external disease, ocular oncology, and refractive surgery. He treats corneal ulcers, infections, keratoconus, eye tumors, and other corneal conditions. He is one of the few physicians in Missouri to perform DMEK and DSEK surgeries, which are advanced procedures for corneal transplantation.

An active surgeon and physician-scientist, Dr. Fraunfelder maintains a robust clinical practice while conducting research on corneal graft rejection, drug-induced ocular side effects, and cryotherapy for eye surface lesions. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds membership in the American Ophthalmological Society.
