Dr. Philip Sanchez

Dr. P. James Sanchez is an ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and external disease at Eye Associates of New Mexico. He provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, with a focus on conditions affecting the cornea, such as keratoconus, corneal infections, and dystrophies. Dr. Sanchez also performs cataract surgery and LASIK to improve vision and reduce dependence on glasses or contact lenses.

Dr. Sanchez completed his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis and his ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. He then pursued additional training in cornea and external disease, making him well-equipped to manage complex corneal conditions. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
