About Me
Dr. Paul J. Botelho is a fellowship-trained cornea and refractive surgeon specializing in laser vision correction, corneal transplant, and cataract surgery. He is board certified in ophthalmology. Dr. Botelho earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri. He then pursued a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Botelho served as Chief of Ophthalmology with the United States Air Force and later as Assistant Clinical Professor and Chief of Cornea at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is a member of the medical staff at several local hospitals. Dr. Botelho provides comprehensive eye care to patients in the southern New England area, with expertise in advanced cataract surgery, laser vision correction, and corneal transplantation.
He has received research and teaching awards and has contributed to numerous clinical research publications.
