About Me
Dr. Patrick W. Laber is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been providing eye care at Raleigh Ophthalmology in Raleigh, North Carolina since 2009. He specializes in conditions and surgeries of the cornea, including cornea and external disease, cataract surgery, and refractive surgery. Dr. Laber also offers comprehensive ophthalmology services, addressing a wide range of eye health needs.
His clinical expertise includes the management of Fuchs’ dystrophy and corneal edema, and he is experienced in advanced corneal transplant procedures such as DSEK (Descemet's stripping endothelial keratoplasty). Dr. Laber has been involved in clinical research, including the EndoSaver trial, which focused on improving the safety and effectiveness of DSEK surgery for patients with these conditions.
Dr. Laber completed his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and then pursued an ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University, followed by a specialized cornea fellowship at the same institution.
