Dr. Nicolas Uzcategui

Dr. Nicolas Uzcategui is a fellowship-trained, board-certified Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in functional and cosmetic eyelid, orbital, and facial surgery. He earned his medical degree at the Universidad Central De Venezuela and completed his ophthalmology residency training at the University of Louisville, Kentucky Lions Eye Center. He further honed his skills with fellowships in pediatric ophthalmology at the University of Southern California (USC) / Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and in Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Doheny Eye Institute at USC, an ASOPRS-accredited program.

Dr. Uzcategui has practiced in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice and academics, most recently serving as the Chief of Ophthalmology at Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He is unique in the Las Vegas valley with his breadth of expertise, which includes complex facial trauma cases, cosmetic facial plastic surgery, thyroid eye disease, and pediatric oculoplastics cases. He is passionate about providing excellent patient care, approaching each patient's unique situation with compassion, experience, and wisdom to achieve the best possible outcome.

Fluent in English, German, and Spanish, Dr. Uzcategui is an active member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
