Dr. Natalia Morales

Dr. Elizabeth Chiang is an oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon who focuses on eyelid and periocular procedures that restore function and enhance appearance. She performs upper and lower blepharoplasty, ptosis repair for droopy eyelids, brow lift procedures, and correction of eyelid malposition such as entropion and ectropion. Her practice also includes eyelid lesion removal, complex reconstruction after Mohs surgery or injury, tear duct procedures, and office-based treatments like Botox and filler injections. Dr. Chiang earned her undergraduate degree from the California Institute of Technology and completed MD/PhD training in neuroscience through the Medical Scientist Training Program at Case Western Reserve University. She completed ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University and a two-year oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Elizabeth A. Atchison is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon who cares for adults with a wide range of retinal and vitreous disorders. Patients appreciate her clear explanations, steady surgical skill, and the continuity of care that retina practice provides—from urgent evaluations through long-term follow-up. Raised in Sioux Falls, she is grateful to serve the community she calls home and sees patients in both the Sioux Falls and Yankton offices. Dr. Atchison completed medical school at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, ophthalmology residency at the Mayo Clinic, and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship with Illinois Retina Associates and Rush University. She partners closely with referring optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide timely diagnosis, advanced treatment, and compassionate guidance tailored to each person’s needs. Whether managing diabetic retinopathy, treating retinal tears and detachments, or monitoring age-related macular degeneration, her goal is to protect vision with evidence-based care and thoughtful communication.

Dr. Daniel Terveen is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive cataract surgery, advanced corneal disease treatment, glaucoma care, and laser vision correction. Patients value his blend of surgical precision and down-to-earth explanations that make complex choices feel clear and manageable. During residency at the University of Iowa, Dr. Terveen earned top resident and research awards and helped launch quality-improvement initiatives that streamlined cataract care for veterans. He continues that spirit of innovation at Vance Thompson Vision, where he serves as a principal investigator in FDA-monitored clinical trials and has published and presented on topics including complicated cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and clinic efficiency. In each visit, he focuses on personal goals—whether sharper vision for work, sports, or daily life—and designs a tailored plan using modern techniques and technologies. Outside the operating room, he enjoys time with family, cooking, reading, and staying active.
