About Me
Dr. Nancy J. Newman is a neuro-ophthalmologist at Emory Eye Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She sees both adults and children with a range of neuro-ophthalmologic conditions, including optic nerve disorders, visual field defects, disorders of ocular motility, and mitochondrial diseases. Dr. Newman serves as the LeoDelle Jolley Chair in Ophthalmology and Director of the Section of Neuro-Ophthalmology at Emory University School of Medicine, where she is also a professor of Ophthalmology and Neurology.
Since beginning her practice in 1989, Dr. Newman has become a leading educator and researcher in her field. She focuses on disorders of the optic nerve and mitochondrial diseases, and has lectured extensively around the world. Her patients value her clear explanations and thorough approach to care.
