Dr. Mollie Lagrew

Dr. Mollie K. Lagrew is an ophthalmologist at the University of Florida who provides comprehensive eye care with a special interest in cataract surgery and managing common conditions that affect vision as we age. A Central Florida native, she returned to Gainesville for medical school and residency, where she served as chief resident and earned awards for teaching and patient care. Patients describe her as detail-oriented in the operating room and approachable in the clinic, balancing precise surgical technique with clear, practical guidance about recovery and long-term eye health.

Her interests include dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, and she enjoys caring for patients over time to preserve sight and quality of life. Dr. Lagrew graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed residency in ophthalmology at UF Health. Outside of work, she spends time with family, travels, and is an enthusiastic Florida Gators supporter.
