About Me
Dr. Miranda Bishara is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery, corneal disease and surgery, and refractive vision correction. She provides comprehensive care for conditions such as cataracts, corneal diseases, and anterior segment disorders, offering treatments including cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants, corneal transplants, and LASIK. Dr. Bishara is committed to helping patients achieve clearer vision and improved quality of life through advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Bishara completed her medical degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, followed by a residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center and a fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at Pepose Vision Institute. She is on the faculty at the University of Kansas Department of Ophthalmology, where she is involved in training future ophthalmologists. Dr. Bishara has served as the chief ophthalmologist for the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs, and she is an active member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
