About Me
Dr. Michael Waggoner is a board-certified ophthalmologist by the American Board of Ophthalmology who specializes in cataract, LASIK, and corneal surgery. He has performed thousands of cataract and LASIK procedures over his career and takes great pride in offering a full spectrum of laser and micro-surgical procedures to help patients achieve their vision goals. He is northwest Arkansas' only fellowship-trained LASIK and corneal surgeon.
Dr. Waggoner is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the Refractive Surgery Alliance. He is an alumnus of Rogers High School and the University of Arkansas, completed his medical education at the University of North Texas-TCOM, his residency at the University of Missouri, and a fellowship at the Dean McGee Eye Institute.
Married to his high school sweetheart with three children, Dr. Waggoner enjoys mountain biking, learning to fish, and spending time outdoors with his family. Patients appreciate his thorough explanations of surgical procedures and recovery expectations, which help build confidence in the care he and his associates provide.
