About Me
Dr. Michael Ehrenhaus is a fellowship-trained cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon who provides advanced eye care to patients in the New York area and beyond. He completed his medical degree at SUNY Downstate, residency in ophthalmology at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers, and a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Ehrenhaus has trained with leading authorities in corneal transplants, LASIK, and complex cataract surgery, and utilizes the latest microsurgical techniques.
He is experienced in specialized procedures such as sutureless cornea transplants, micro-invasive glaucoma implant surgery, and bladeless IntraLasik, and is one of only a few surgeons in the Northeast certified to perform IntraLasik. As an expert cataract surgeon, he handles both routine and complex cases with precision and compassion. Dr. Ehrenhaus has published extensively, speaks at national and international meetings, and actively participates in research. He sees patients at his private practice in Bayside and at SUNY Downstate Eye Center in Brooklyn, welcoming individuals from around the world.
