Dr. Michael Oats

Dr. Michael Oats is an ophthalmologist at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, providing comprehensive eye care to patients in Massachusetts. He treats a wide range of eye conditions, with a particular focus on cataracts and refractive surgery. Dr. Oats is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, American Medical Association, and the New England Ophthalmological Society.

Dr. Oats completed his undergraduate studies at the College of the Holy Cross and earned his medical degree from Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University of Chicago. He then completed an internship and residency in medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology/Hypertension, as well as a surgical residency at Loyola University of Chicago. He serves on the active staff of the Cape Cod Eye Surgery and Laser Center in Sandwich and Falmouth Hospital, and has lectured nationally on refractive and cataract surgery.
