Dr. Michael Eichler

Dr. Michael Eichler is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care at Total Eye Care. He rejoined the practice in 2016 to offer patients in the region access to quality, ethical surgical experiences close to home. Dr. Eichler specializes in cataract surgery and LASIK, and he treats a wide variety of eye diseases, disorders, and injuries, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

A native of Minneapolis, Dr. Eichler earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan–Kellogg Eye Center, where he served as chief resident, and earlier trained in internal medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University.

Patients benefit from advanced techniques such as no-stitch cataract surgery, laser vision correction, and laser therapies including YAG, SLT, and PRP. Dr. Eichler also performs the Hydrus Microstent procedure for glaucoma patients undergoing cataract surgery. He sees patients at the Wyoming Specialty Clinic and the Blaine clinic.
