Dr. Michael Greenwood

Dr. Michael Greenwood is a board-certified ophthalmologist who leads Vance Thompson Vision’s Fargo location. He performs the most advanced techniques available and is often asked to share his knowledge nationally and internationally. Patients describe him as kind-hearted, understanding, and passionate.

Dr. Greenwood specializes in cataract, glaucoma, cornea, and laser vision correction surgery. After completing his fellowship with Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls, SD, he established the practice’s West Fargo, ND location. As a fellowship-trained cornea, glaucoma, and refractive surgeon, he performs advanced procedures including refractive cataract surgery, LASIK, cornea transplants, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).

He is a leader in the eye care industry, lecturing nationally and internationally and teaching other surgeons advanced techniques. Dr. Greenwood believes every patient deserves to see life with clarity and is honored to use his skills to achieve this. He has been involved in numerous FDA-monitored clinical trials and has published peer-reviewed research focusing on glaucoma, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and refractive cataract surgery.
