Meet Dr. Meghan Berkenstock
About Me
Meghan Berkenstock, MD is an associate professor of ophthalmology at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute who specializes in uveitis and other ocular inflammatory and infectious diseases. She helps patients understand the cause of eye inflammation, coordinates care when systemic disease is involved, and creates treatment plans that balance symptom control with long-term eye health.
In addition to specialty uveitis care, Dr. Berkenstock provides comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery. Her research focuses on improving safety and quality for patients on immunosuppressive medications and on identifying eye-related adverse events linked to cancer immunotherapy. She completed fellowship training in Uveitis & External Disease at UCLA Medical Center, ophthalmology residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, and medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine.
