About Me
Dr. Matthew Traynor is a glaucoma specialist and cataract surgeon who founded Premier Eye Care of Eastern Idaho in 2011. He focuses on complex cataract surgery and the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, providing advanced care for these conditions.
Dr. Traynor completed his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2000. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. His ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship were completed at the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City, a top-ranked ophthalmology training program known for its high surgical volume and expert faculty.
At Premier Eye Care, Dr. Traynor is part of a team that includes fellowship-trained specialists in cornea, glaucoma, retina, and oculoplastics. The practice offers comprehensive eye care, including treatment for diabetic eye disease, dry eye, macular degeneration, and floaters, among other conditions.
