Dr. Matthew Lowrance

Dr. Matthew Lowrance is an ophthalmologist specializing in medical retina at Tennessee Eye Care. He completed his undergraduate degree in music performance at the University of North Georgia and earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lowrance then undertook a four-year ophthalmology residency at Michigan State University and Hillsdale Community Health Center, followed by a medical retina fellowship at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Dr. Lowrance has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national meetings. He holds multiple patents pending for ophthalmic surgery and medical technology. He is a founding member of the Tidal Key Group, an innovations company focused on emerging medical devices, and serves as medical director for Lumata Health, which uses data to personalize patient care.

Dr. Lowrance lives in Loudon with his wife and three children.
