About Me
Dr. Mary Lou McGregor is a pediatric ophthalmologist and the Director of the Eye Clinic at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She also serves as a Professor of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. McGregor has a special focus on treating eye conditions in children, including pediatric cataracts, strabismus (misaligned eyes), low vision, and retinopathy of prematurity. She leads the Multidisciplinary Low Vision Clinic at Nationwide Children's, providing comprehensive care for children with visual impairments.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. McGregor has been involved in multicenter research studies funded by the National Institutes of Health, including the CRYO-ROP and ETROP studies. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Dr. McGregor received the Makley-Battles Teaching Award in 1996 and has been recognized with the Golden Stethoscope Award and Career Contribution Award from Nationwide Children's Hospital.
