About Me
Dr. Mark Matson Kaehr is a retinal specialist who focuses on the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of retinal disease. He cares for patients with conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, and retinal detachment, working to preserve sight and support long-term eye health.
An Indianapolis native, Dr. Kaehr earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed an ophthalmology residency at Indiana University, where he served as chief teaching resident, and then completed a surgical retina fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. He combines advanced retina training with a clear, patient-centered approach to complex eye disease.
