Dr. Mark Ihnen

Dr. Mark A. Ihnen is an ophthalmologist practicing at Kentucky Eye Care. He was born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky. Dr. Ihnen completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Kentucky and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine.

He pursued postgraduate training with an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Ophthalmology, both at the University of Louisville. Dr. Ihnen maintains professional affiliations with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Louisville Academy of Ophthalmology, the Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Greater Louisville Medical Society. He has contributed to ophthalmic literature through co-authored publications.

Dr. Ihnen provides comprehensive eye care for a variety of conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. His practice offers medical, surgical, and optical services. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys golf, fishing, and spending time with his family.
