About Me
Dr. Maggie Strampe is a pediatric ophthalmologist who cares for children and adults with strabismus. She understands that doctor visits can feel intimidating for kids and uses play and encouragement to make exams comfortable and fun. Her clinical interests include amblyopia, congenital cataract, blocked tear ducts and disorders of eye alignment across the lifespan. She works closely with families to explain options and create treatment plans that fit each child’s needs and routines.
Dr. Strampe completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota and previously completed undergraduate studies in French at the University of Minnesota. Having grown up in the Twin Cities, she is grateful to provide specialty eye care in the community she calls home.
