About Me
Prof. Marco Coassin is a distinguished ophthalmologist with extensive expertise in visual diseases. He serves as a Full Professor and heads the Complex Operating Unit of Ophthalmology while directing the School of Specialization in Ophthalmology. After obtaining his medical degree and specialization in Italy, he furthered his training in the United States with fellowships in Ocular Pathology at Johns Hopkins University and Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.
His clinical career includes several years of practice at the Arcispedale IRCCS in Reggio Emilia, where he managed a wide range of eye conditions. He is actively involved in research across multiple ophthalmology fields and has authored more than 100 scientific articles, contributing to advancements in areas such as corneal diseases, glaucoma, and retinal disorders.
