About Me

Dr. Mahshad Darvish-Zargar is an ophthalmologist with advanced training in cornea and external disease. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in microbiology and immunology at the University of British Columbia. He then completed a Master of Business Administration and his medical degree at McGill University, followed by an ophthalmology residency where he was named Chief Resident. His specialization includes a cornea and external disease fellowship at the Cincinnati Eye Institute and an observership at the Singapore National Eye Center.

With over 10,000 procedures performed, Dr. Darvish-Zargar specializes in Refractive Lens Exchange, Corneal Cross-Linking, general ophthalmology, and cataract treatment. He has been a cornea specialist at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal since 2015, serving as Medical Director for the Academic Cataract Center, and also works at the Lachine Hospital.

Dr. Darvish-Zargar is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Director of the Cornea Fellowship at McGill University, where he previously was the Residency Program Director.
