About Me
Dr. Lov K. Sarin is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retinal diseases and vitreoretinal surgery. He is an attending surgeon on the Retina Service at Wills Eye Hospital and serves as Professor of Ophthalmology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Sarin joined Mid Atlantic Retina in 2009, bringing decades of experience in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the retina and vitreous. He came to the United States in 1956 and completed his ophthalmology residency at Massachusetts Memorial Hospital, followed by retina and eye pathology fellowships at Wills Eye Hospital and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Sarin has been a long-time educator, lecturing at Philadelphia medical schools and nationally and internationally. He has contributed to the field through numerous publications and has held leadership roles, including President of the Medical Staff at Wills Eye Institute. Patients with retinal conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and vitreous disorders benefit from his extensive clinical and surgical expertise.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sarin has been recognized for his contributions to ophthalmology and remains actively involved in patient care at Mid Atlantic Retina's Plymouth Meeting location.
