Dr. Lisa Sun

Dr. Lisa Sun is a dedicated ophthalmologist who became part of Piedmont Eye Surgical & Laser Center in 2018. She earned her Medical Degree from LSU School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center. During her training, she was appointed Chief Resident and honored with the Outstanding Preliminary Resident recognition and the Excellence in Ophthalmology Award as the Outstanding Senior.

Dr. Sun is board certified and holds memberships in prestigious organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Her clinical expertise focuses on cataract surgery, incorporating advanced lens technologies like toric and multifocal options, and she provides both medical and surgical treatments for glaucoma. She is deeply committed to helping patients navigate their eye care journey to attain optimal vision outcomes.

In her personal time, Dr. Sun values family moments, enjoys reading, outdoor activities like hiking, fitness through CrossFit, creative pursuits such as pottery, and cheering for the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. Her holistic approach to life complements her patient-centered practice.
