Dr. Lingkun Kong

Dr. Lingkun Kong is an internationally trained and experienced pediatric ophthalmologist at the San Antonio Eye Center. She provides care for children with a variety of eye diseases and also treats adults with strabismus and double vision.

Dr. Kong completed her medical degree and a master's degree focused on inflammatory eye diseases at Harbin Medical University in China. She furthered her career in Australia, earning a Ph.D. for her research on retinopathy of prematurity. After moving to the United States, she repeated her residency at Texas Tech University and completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at UT Southwestern. Dr. Kong is an active researcher with over 70 peer-reviewed publications and has served on committees for major clinical trials in her field.
