Dr. Lawrence Woodard

Dr. Lawrence Woodard is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the Medical Director of Omni Eye Services of Atlanta. He specializes in advanced cataract surgery, including the use of multifocal and toric intraocular lenses, and corneal surgery. Dr. Woodard was the first cataract surgeon in the Atlanta area to offer bladeless laser cataract surgery, introducing this technology in 2013. He is recognized as one of the nation's leading cataract surgeons and frequently lectures at national and international meetings to educate other physicians on surgical techniques and new technologies.

Dr. Woodard completed his medical degree at Duke University and his residency at the University of Pennsylvania's Scheie Eye Institute. He then undertook a fellowship in Corneal and Refractive Surgery. He has been practicing in Atlanta since 1999 and has served as Omni Eye Services' Medical Director since 2003. Dr. Woodard is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a founding member of the American College of Ophthalmic Surgery.
