About Me
Larry P. Frohman, MD, is a neuro-ophthalmologist in academic practice at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, where he serves as Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Neurology and Neurosciences and Vice Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology. He specializes exclusively in neuro-ophthalmology, treating conditions such as unexplained visual loss, double vision, optic neuritis, pseudotumor cerebri (idiopathic intracranial hypertension), and neuro-ophthalmic manifestations of systemic diseases like sarcoidosis.
Dr. Frohman brings extensive experience to his patients, having served in numerous leadership roles within the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has also contributed to neuro-ophthalmology education through research and publications, including peer-reviewed articles and the Neuro-ophthalmology Virtual Educational Library (NOVEL) project.
