Meet Dr. Kyle Thompson
About Me
Dr. Kyle Thompson is a board-certified vitreoretinal surgeon at Premier Eye Care of Eastern Idaho, specializing in all aspects of vitreoretinal disease. He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and his clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and treating complex retinal conditions with advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Thompson completed his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University-Idaho, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and earned his medical degree from Penn State University College of Medicine. He then completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Kentucky, where he was honored as Resident Teacher of the Year and served as Chief Resident. His specialized training includes a two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship split between the University of Kentucky, where he served as a clinical instructor, and the nationally recognized Retina Associates of Kentucky.
