About Me
Dr. Kimberly M. Winges is a neuro-ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon who practices at the Casey Eye Institute within the VA Portland Health Care System. She is board certified in ophthalmology and specializes in the diagnosis and management of complex neuro-ophthalmic conditions, including optic neuropathies and demyelinating diseases. Dr. Winges also performs cataract surgery.
Dr. Winges has a strong research background in ocular imaging, particularly for demyelinating diseases and other optic neuropathies. She completed her ophthalmology residency at UC Davis and a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Iowa. Her medical degree is from New York Medical College, and she earned her undergraduate degree at Stanford University. Dr. Winges serves on committees for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society, and she reviews for professional journals. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
