About Me
Dr. Kimberly K. Gokoffski is a board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist specializing in neuro-ophthalmology and strabismus. She cares for adults with vision loss from optic nerve and brain pathway disorders related to stroke, tumors, inflammatory conditions such as MS and neuromyelitis optica, infections, metabolic disease and genetic causes. She also treats double vision from cranial nerve palsies, thyroid eye disease, and complex ocular muscle disorders, and offers surgical care for adult strabismus when appropriate. Her philosophy is to empower patients with clear information so they can make confident decisions. She is fluent in Polish and conversant in Spanish. Dr. Gokoffski earned her MD and PhD at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. She completed ophthalmology residency at UC Davis following an internal-medicine year, then advanced training in neuro-ophthalmology at the Keck - USC School of Medicine. She welcomes patients at the UCI Health Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and collaborates closely with neurology, neurosurgery and endocrinology to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary care tailored to each person’s needs.
