Meet Dr. Karen Elizabeth Dickes

Dr. Karen E. Dickes is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and cataract surgeon with extensive experience in comprehensive ophthalmology. She has performed over 7,000 cataract surgeries and has been providing cataract and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery to patients in Yankton for the past decade. Dr. Dickes is currently performing the latest glaucoma treatments and procedures, helping her patients achieve better vision and manage their eye conditions.

Dr. Dickes completed a glaucoma fellowship at Eye Consultants in Omaha, Nebraska, and an ophthalmology residency at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She earned her osteopathic medical degree from Des Moines University and graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University. Her clinical expertise includes the management of glaucoma, cataract surgery, and a wide range of comprehensive eye care services.

She is excited to join the team at Ophthalmology LTD and looks forward to helping patients in the Yankton community see their best. Dr. Dickes is board certified by the American Osteopathic Boards of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology and has received several awards for her clinical excellence and academic performance.
