About Me
Dr. Kareem Sioufi is a board-certified ophthalmologist and medical retina specialist who cares for adults with a wide range of retinal and inflammatory eye conditions. Patients appreciate his clear explanations, collaborative style, and evidence-based approach to protecting and restoring vision. He tailors care to each person’s goals, from close monitoring and medications to in-office injections and laser procedures when appropriate, always focusing on safety, comfort, and long-term outcomes.
Originally from Damascus, Dr. Sioufi earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences (Saint Kitts), completed a general surgery internship and ophthalmology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina’s Storm Eye Institute, and pursued subspecialty training in medical retina at the University of Washington. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has received recognition for clinical excellence and research. Outside the clinic, he enjoys live music and time with his family, and welcomes new patients seeking thoughtful, state-of-the-art retina care.
