Dr. Tushar Suthar

Dr. Tushar N. Suthar is an ophthalmologist with advanced training focused on retinal disease. He partners with patients and their broader care team to support both eye health and overall health, with an emphasis on thoughtful, coordinated treatment.

A Georgia native, Dr. Suthar moved to Atlanta to study biomedical engineering at Georgia Tech. After graduation, he spent time at the Medical College of Georgia’s Department of Ophthalmology researching new approaches to treating vision loss, deepening his interest in medicine and eye care. He completed medical school and residency training in New York and then pursued a medical retina fellowship at Duke University.

In practice, he focuses on using cutting-edge, office-based treatments for retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions, and diabetic retinopathy.
